Q: What is the PAWS-Abilities Capital Campaign?
It has always been a dream of EGAPL volunteers, from our founding members to our current Board of Directors, to have our own shelter building. While boarding animals, we are only able to hold Open Adoption Hours for a few hours a week, and volunteers are limited in interacting with the animals. Boarding costs are expensive and limit the number of animals we are able to take in. In 2014, the Board of Directors voted to move forward in seeking a permanent home for the East Greenwich Animal Protection League. We kicked off our Capital Campaign with the extraordinarily generous support of long-time EGAPL supporters and our Campaign Chairs, Alan and Marie Weiss. We are very grateful to the Weiss family and to our many supporters who have already contributed to the Capital Campaign!
EGAPL continues our fundraising efforts and we are looking for assistance in finding real estate in the East Greenwich area that is suitable for a shelter environment. We encourage the support of the local business community and have the following sponsorship categories available for corporate sponsorships:
In return for your corporate sponsorship, your business will be promoted here on our website and on our Facebook page with almost 10,000 followers. All Gold and Platinum category sponsors will be acknowledged as sponsors of the new building once established. We would also be happy to work with you to hold a fundraiser event in your store. To contact EGAPL about becoming a corporate sponsor, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Equally important as corporate sponsorships are individual contributions.
There are several ways to contribute to our building fund:
- 1) Donate to our GoFundMe account to purchase our own building here.
- 2) Click on the Donate button to make a PayPal donation and indicate the purpose is for “Capital Campaign”. Donations may also be dropped off during Adoption Hours or sent by mail.
We look forward to bringing good news to the supporters of our PAWS-Abilities Capital Campaign soon! Watch this video to see why the Capital Campaign is so important to our mission:
