Success Story: Howdy
Howdy has been through more than most pets! He arrived at EGAPL in 2013, saved from a high-kill Southern shelter with a damaged front leg. He was named Howdy because his leg seemed stuck in a position waving “howdy”. The damaged limb was removed before Howdy was adopted to his first home. Sadly, Howdy did not get along with the other dogs in the home and returned to us in 2014. Finding the right home for Howdy was a challenge since he preferred to be an only pet, and many potential adopters shied away from taking on a “special needs” dog. Sweet Howdy never lost his energetic good will – or his love of belly-rubs – and finally the perfect adopters came along. Howdy is delightfully spoiled by his new family and he even has his own Facebook page! You can keep up with Howdy at https://www.facebook.com/howdy.obrien.
